The 700-year-old town of Friesoythe and the villages and farming communities belonging to the town area are located in a varied landscape, which more and more guests choose as a holiday destination every year.
Friesoythe is part of the well-known and popular recreation area Thülsfelder Talsperre, a paradise for hikers and cyclists. Anglers and sports enthusiasts also appreciate the opportunities on offer.
Friesoythe and its surroundings are worth a visit at any time of year, whether for a holiday, a weekend or a day trip. Not only when the heath blossoms in late summer or the autumn colours the leaves of the trees, you can experience beautiful days here.
