Our house is located in a quiet side valley of the beautiful Kinzig valley in the Black Forest Nature Park in an idyllic sunny location for sole occupancy. A former farmhouse has been converted into a cosy holiday home. Other excursion destinations are: Baden-Baden 80 km, Feldberg 100 km, Mainau Island Lake Constance 110 km.

The surrounding area is ideal for walks, hikes and cycling tours. In the climatic health resort of Schenkenzell, 6 km away, you will find table tennis, mini-golf and tennis facilities, a heated outdoor swimming pool and fishing opportunities. There are also various shopping facilities. Larger supermarkets can be found in Schiltach, about 15 minutes by car from Kaltbrunn. The small bathing lake and the cross-country skiing track are about 4 km away.
During the season, Schenkenzell offers a colourful programme of events (e.g. local history evenings, spa concerts, guided hikes, etc.).

Great location - but unfortunately lacks so much
We booked this house for our holiday with the dog. The location is great, but unfortunately there is a lack of care and maintenance, which spoiled the overall impression. The fenced terrace (a dirty concrete slab) with its weathered garden furniture and a broken mini parasol did not make us feel comfortable. It could be seen that there had once been flower beds and boxes here, but unfortunately everything was now just full of weeds. The interior is rustic, especially in the living room very nice. Overall, we can say that it could be a great house if it was taken care of.

Sehr geehrte Frau K.,
vielen Dank für Ihre Kritik, die wir uns natürlich sehr zu Herzen nehmen. Bezüglich der Terrasse müssen wir sagen, dass am Tag Ihrer Anreise geregnet hat und das Reinigen der Terrasse daher nicht möglich war.
Des Weiteren hätten wir uns gewünscht, wenn sie uns als Vermieter gleich angesprochen hätten, um uns die Möglichkeit zu geben, die Mängel wie z.B. die Terrassenmöbel, die unsere anderen Gäste übrigens als sehr rustikal und originell empfinden, auszutauschen. Ein Satz anderer Terrassenmöbel steht im Keller bereit. Auch ein Hinweis auf einen kaputten Sonnenschirm wäre für uns hilfreich gewesen. Wir hätten in diesem Fall gleich für Ersatz sorgen können.
Blumenkästen können wir leider nicht anbringen, da wir nicht verlangen können, dass diese von den Gästen täglich gegossen werden.
