A very beautiful bathing beach is Falkensteiner Strand, 12 km away, which can be reached by car in 15-20 minutes. For active water sports enthusiasts (kite surfing, windsurfing, sailing), the area around Laboe is 18 km away. There are almost always perfect wind conditions and numerous surfing and sailing schools are located there. is the state capital and, with over inhabitants, the largest city in the northern German state of Schleswig-Holstein.
