By train:
Garding has a railway station, so there is nothing to stop you travelling by train
by train. No matter from which direction you come, the route always leads via Husum, from where the train runs to Garding every hour.
Of course, we can also pick you up from the station after consultation.
By car:
Coming from the south, please drive past the Elbtunnel in Hamburg on the A23 towards Heide. There the A23 joins the B5 and takes you over the Eider. Continue in the direction of St. Peter-Ording on the B 202 and follow the main road (past Tönning, through the villages of Kotzenbüll and Katharinenheerd) until you reach Garding.
Holidays on Eiderstedt:
The climatic health resort of Garding is centrally located in the middle of the Eiderstedt peninsula. From here it is only a few kilometres to the fine sandy beach of St. Peter-Ording, the bathing beach of Vollerwiek, the famous lighthouse of Westerhever, the Eider Barrier and the Multimar Wattforum in Tönning with its marine adventure museum.
Garding:
The climatic health resort of Garding is a typical North Frisian town with around 2740 inhabitants. Its history begins in 1109 with the building of the St. Christian Church on the highest point of Eiderstedt.
The town has had town rights since 1590. Today, Garding offers visitors not only beautiful old houses but also all the important shopping facilities - a weekly market on Tuesdays, restaurants and, in summer, the traditional Garding Musicians' Fair. There are several supermarkets, a DIY store and clothing and toy shops. The centre of Garding also has two doctors, a paediatrician, two dentists, a pharmacy, a fire station with ambulance and landing pad for rescue helicopters. A regional health centre on Eiderstedt is located in Tönning, a 10-minute drive from Garding.
A sports, riding and tennis court as well as a small town park with a pirate play ship and a puppet theatre complete the offer.
Two bicycle rental companies are also on site. Worth seeing is the St. Christians Church in the town centre, built in 1109, and the birthplace of Nobel Prize winner Theodor Mommsen (1817-1903).

Just great!!!
It was an all-round beautiful holiday, no matter whether it was raining or bright sunshine - we immediately felt very comfortable in Haus Möwe.
