Description
The dairy, which was in operation until 1918, has been carefully renovated over the last few years into a comfortable holiday flat with all comforts.
The flat has two floors: the upper one with two double bedrooms, a smaller bathroom with shower and toilet and a kitchenette
On the ground floor, next to the entrance area, there is a kitchen, bathroom and living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, hobs, oven, dishwasher, microwave. In the tastefully furnished bathroom (shower and toilet) there is a washing machine and tumble dryer.
The living room, the heart of the flat, is dominated by the open fireplace with the long upholstered stone bench opposite. The rustic ambience is underlined by the impressive window and door arches in the thick stone walls and lets the mind wander back a few centuries. The furniture is adapted accordingly, but allows for the TV.
The entire flat can accommodate up to eight people. Four beds are in the two bedrooms upstairs and extra beds can be installed as needed
Additional beds can be installed in the banqueting hall and there is a room in the sauna where one person can sleep
Adjacent to the north side is the large lawn of the garden of the manor house, which may be used, and on the south side a green area opens up with a barbecue area, sauna and mini-pool.
The ground floor with its access to the southern outdoor space has no door thresholds and is therefore wheelchair accessible.

Location and surroundings of object
The old dairy is one of the buildings of Skarups Gård (Skarups Farm). Most of the buildings on the farm were erected between 1858 and 1880 and, apart from the manor house, consist of ten farm buildings, seven of which are built of fieldstone.
The farm is surrounded by fields, meadows and woods, and country lanes wind through the idyllic landscape
There are about a hundred sheep on the farm. Of course, the careful observer will also see moose, red deer, roe deer and wild boar in the area, which is also ideal for hunting.
Skarups Gård is situated eight kilometres north of Ronneby and 30 km from Karlskrona and Karlshamn. Regular connections to Stockholm and Copenhagen are less than 15 minutes away.
Two bathing lakes are easily accessible by bicycle: Svensjön in the north (6 km) and Salsjön in the south (12 km); the nearest bathing place on the Baltic Sea is about 15 km away.

Rustic place to relax
We stayed with 4 adults and 2 older children for 2 weeks during the summer holidays. We admit that it took a bit of getting used to at first, among other things because the windows downstairs did not open. But we met very cordial landlords who took care of any questions or problems immediately. The equipment is ok, some things could use an update. In the evenings it was sometimes a bit chilly, so the fireplace and sauna were very pleasant. Wood was available. And with 6 people (2 would have to beat in the so-called ballroom) the dishwasher ran daily. We should also mention a table tennis table (without net), which is not in the description. The surrounding area invites you to explore and relax... Water, forest, animals, shopping...

Top - even in the cold season
We (six friends) spent a long weekend of hiking, fishing and canoeing at the Old Dairy at the end of September. This place is a hidden paradise. Not only in summer, where we have spent holidays with our families, but also in the cold season you can relax here. You can warm up in the idyllic sauna house or by the outdoor fireplace. The landlord Torsten reads every wish from your lips. He took us on a super game safari on his huge estate. Top house, top host, top area...

enchanting holiday home that leaves nothing to be desired
We stayed in this holiday home with two adults and three children aged six to eleven. It is perfect for the needs of a family with children. From the washing machine to the bicycles in the shed, everything was available. The kitchen is more than well equipped for a holiday home - even "off the beaten track" items such as a thermos flask, mixer and cake tin as well as Tupperware are provided. Even towels are provided by the extremely friendly and helpful landlord. There is a mosquito screen against mosquitoes, which can be inserted into the window frame if necessary (but we didn't have one!). Ronneby, the nearest large town, offers everything you need for your daily needs. The location is a bit out of the way, but for those arriving by car, it offers a dreamlike and quiet environment. Hikes can be undertaken on foot and the nearest Badesse is easily accessible by bicycle. The Badesse Salsjön is definitely recommended for children. For activities with children, we can definitely recommend Karlskona with its maritime museum.

Very nice house with complete furnishings for a relaxed holiday for everyone!
Old, spacious house, stylishly renovated with modern amenities. We arrived with children who first explored the spacious, well-kept grounds. There is a private sauna for guests, with firewood already provided. The barbecue area with a table made from an old millstone is romantic. We enjoyed breakfast every morning in the sun on the paved patio in the garden. Table, chairs, sun loungers, and umbrellas - everything is there. The house is a solid construction made of fieldstones, with wooden fixtures. The kitchen and bathroom are excellently equipped. All the technical appliances we need are available and work: washing machine, dryer - we could have left half of our clothes at home ;), stove, oven, dishwasher - yay, no arguments about who does the dishes - , microwave, coffee machine, toaster.... The living room has a TV, DVD player, and stereo system. The helpful and friendly landlord offers WLAN access and it works!
We took trips to the surrounding area, visited the port cities Ronneby, Karlskrona (Marine Museum), Karlshamn, and explored various beaches, all about 30-60 minutes away by car. The farm is located outside the nearest town, so a car is useful. The nearest supermarket is about 5 km away.
For all skeptics: we didn't see a single mosquito ;)! There were occasional horseflies. And the weather was also kind to us, with sunny days and pleasant temperatures every day, what more could one want!?
It was a very relaxing vacation in a beautiful environment with many possibilities.

Perfect vacation in a dreamlike environment
We spent a week on a family vacation with our dog in this beautiful house. The facilities, surroundings, and landlord were great. It is a truly beautifully renovated old dairy that leaves nothing to be desired. Great bathroom, good kitchen, good beds, and everything furnished with great attention to detail. Sauna, barbecue area, bicycles, sun loungers, fireplace... everything is there. Really recommendable. Karlskrona and Ronneby can be reached in a short time. Anytime again!
