The 'barn' is a former agricultural building and is the closest pool. It consists of two bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor and a living room with open kitchen and dining area on the first floor. From there you can reach the private terrace. The bathroom has two sinks, toilet and a spacious shower with selbstgesammeltem river pebble mosaic. Under the stairs is the washing machine. The living room is furnished with two comfortable sofas, coffee table and TV (English channels) and CD player. The kitchen, country-style, is equipped with table and chairs and a stove with ceramic hob and oven and a dishwasher. Surrounded by a wall terrace is equipped with garden furniture and gas grill.
In the cold season, the ground floor with underfloor heating and the first floor with electric heaters is heated.

beautiful and calm retreat
The grange is a very comfortable house in a beautiful location. There is lots to see and the hosts are very friendly and helpful. We were there in the winter and could not enjoy the huge garden and the pool but intend to revisit in the summer!

entspannender Poolurlaub in der Natur
Was nicht so gut war:
a) Der Grange (und das Schlafzimmer) liegt ca. 20m an der am Grundstück vorbeiführenden Straße, was auf den Bildern nicht erkennbar ist. Gerade Nachts, wenn es sehr still ist, macht ein vorbeifahrender Wagen schon ziemlich Lärm. (Es kommt aber Nachts selten ein Wagen vorbei. Morgens gibt es geringen Berufsverkehr). Kein Problem für Leute, die einen guten Schlaf haben.
b) Ca. 20m neben dem Grange liegt die Abwasseraufbereitungsanlage. Zu unserer Aufenthaltszeit hatte sie einen Defekt und verströmte in regelmäßigen Abständen einen penetranten Abwassergeruch. Gerade in Bad und Schlafzimmer war dies unangenehm, auch wenn sich der Geruch nach 4 Min. verflüchtigte. Nach Auskunft der Vermieter sollte der Defekt aber mittlerweile behoben sein.
c) Der Grange wirbt mit der Aussage "luxuriöses Ferienhaus". Das halten wir für übertrieben. Dennoch ist der Grange zweckmäßig, nett und teilweise aussergewöhnlich eingerichtet.
d) eine normale Filterkaffeemaschine war (für uns leider) nicht vorhanden, dafür aber eine Senseo-Kaffeemaschine.
Was besonders gut war:
a) aussergewöhnlich war der tolle, große und saubere Pool. Auch die Liegefläche mit Schatten- und Sonnenbereichen und genügend Liegen war top.
b) ein schönes, großes gepflegtes Grundstück.
c) die wichtigsten Fenster des Grange (Schlafzimmer und Küche) hatten Insektenschutzgitter.
d) der Grange liegt schattig. Schlafzimmer sind im Erdgeschoss und bieten nachts eine angenehme Kühle. Dennoch ist die Terasse auch sonnig.
e) eine sehr gut ausgestattete Küche. Selber kochen ist kein Problem.
Scheinbar kann ich die Sterne nicht aktivieren. Daher hier die Aussagen dazu:

Lage: 5 Sterne (wenn man Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit mag)
Sauberkeit: 4 Sterne
Service: 3 Sterne

Vicinity of the holiday home: tolle südländische Natur. Abwechselungsreich, was man so nicht direkt vermutet.
free time activities: Pool, Pool, Pool. Wenn es nicht so heiß wäre, bestimmt auch wandern. Besichtigung alter Katharer-Ruinen, netter Dörfer und Natur.
shopping facilities: Im 10 km entfernten Limoux war alles wichtige zu bekommen.

Holiday at the Moulin
In June 2013, we spent our two-week holiday at the Moulin in Roquetaillade.In the beautiful, tastefully and lovingly furnished holiday flat of our landlords, we immediately felt at home. The stay in this cleverly planned and comfortable accommodation was pleasant throughout. In addition, there was the beautiful pool area where we could switch off from everyday life and, above all, our landlady who, in her friendly and uncomplicated way, unobtrusively ensured that we really had everything we needed for our well-being.

Die ersten Gaeste nach der Winterpause. Selbstverstaendlich war das Haus von oben bis unten geputzt und gelueftet. Es war den ganzen Winter geheizt.
Kruemel unter den Sitzkissen lassen sich nicht mehr entfernen, weil verhakt in der Bespannung.
Terasse war regennass, der Grill ist nicht nagelneu, wie auch die Gartenmoebel, das ist richtig, aber nicht unzumutbar, siehe autentisches Foto auf unserer Website.
Toilettenpapier ist nicht inbegriffen, das war einfach der Rest der letzten Gaeste.
"Schutt" hinter der Terassenmauer war nicht sichtbar, ausser man ist drumherum gelaufen. Wir waren ausserdem sehr offensichtlich dabei mit Erde aufzufuellen bis uns der Regen aufgehalten hat.
Die Schaukel hat ueber den Winter einen Sturmschaden erlitten, der, bis die Familien mit Kindern kommen, behoben sein wird.
Sowohl Name und Ort des Gastes sind erfunden, der Reisezeitraum war Ende Maerz, Anfang April 2013.

shopping facilities: In Limoux gibt es alles, was das Herz begehrt. Für Extremshopper gibt es die Großstädte (Toulouse, Montpellier) in der Nähe.

Gite Grange
Einfach himmlisch!
Ein schönes, altes Haus (Grange) mit modernem Komfort, ein großer Garten mit Pool zum Relaxen, nette und hilfreiche Gastgeber, verschlafene Dörfer und an den Markttagen quirlige Kleinstädte mit antikem Flair, Katharerburgen wie Adlernester - die wir uns altersbedingt meistens nur von unten angesehen haben - natürlich Weltkulturerbe Carcassonne mit Touristen aus aller Welt, glücklicherweise Sonne pur und Wein, Wein, Wein.
Was will man mehr, alles war so, wie wir es uns erträumt hatten.
Nur unser Handy fand vor Ort kein Netz.
