Welcome to your holiday in the Eifel / Vulkaneifel in Ulmen.
Bright, friendly, cosy and modern furnished holiday flat in Ulmen, located in Fronwiese 12, not far from the Ulmen Maar. The town of Ulmen is centrally located between Daun with its Maars, Monreal, Cochem on the Moselle, Trier, and Koblenz on the Rhine
Our house is located on the southern outskirts of Ulmen on a 1500 sqm property in a quiet residential area, close to woods, fields and green meadows. The holiday flat is equipped for 2-4 persons. The large south-facing balcony, with a view of the Kappenberg, of the Eifel holiday flat I invites you to breakfast in fine weather, and in the evening you can end the day here with a glass of Moselle or Ahr wine and a view of the clear starry sky of the Eifel. Large open living room, with new upholstered furniture, reading lamps, 55 inch flat screen TV, dining table with chairs, complete new kitchenette with dishwasher, ceramic hob, extractor fan and 20 ltr. extra freezer compartment. Coffee machine, toaster, water and egg boiler are available, as well as sufficient pots, crockery, cutlery and dishcloths
2 separate bedrooms, 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom. Both bedrooms are made of natural wood furniture, with adjustable slatted frames.
Shower / WC with large daylight window. Hairdryer and towels provided. Make-up mirror available.
Hallway with wardrobe and mirror.
The holiday flat has its own entrance.
Own driveway, parking spaces on the property.
Our lovingly landscaped garden and the large lawn with the new cosy seating and barbecue areas, and the garden house with veranda invite you to linger. In a few minutes you reach the Ulmener Maar with the castle ruin, as well as baker and butcher. After about 200 metres you are in the open countryside, between meadows, fields and woods, and have a wonderful view of the Eifel landscape, all the way to the Vulcano information platform in Steineberg near Daun. The " Volcano Cycle Route Eifel " passes by the house only a few metres away

Numerous hiking and cycling trails (Maare-Mosel Cycle Path, Eifel Volcano Cycle Route) invite you to explore the volcanic Eifel with its maars (Ulmener Maar, Jungferweiher, Schalkenmehren, Daun, Gillenfeld - Pulvermaar, Meerfeld, Immerath, Manderscheid). In the immediate vicinity you will find worthwhile excursion destinations, the Laacher See near Mayen, Eltz Castle, Monreal, Manderscheid with its castles, the Nürburgring, and much more. Ulmen is centrally located between Manderscheid, Daun with its Maaren, Gerolstein, Cochem on the Moselle, Mayen in the volcanic East Eifel (Laacher See). You decide whether you want to explore the beautiful landscape of the Eifel, Moselle and Ahr by bike, by car or on foot. Our town has about 3500 inhabitants.
You will find everything from A for Aldi to Z for Zerfass, Netto, Lidl, Edeka and Norma.
There is also a petrol station in town.
We have a real village butcher's shop with home-made sausage and ham, and a baker within walking distance to buy fresh bread in the morning.
You don't need to worry about medical care either. 2 general practitioners, 2 dentists and a gynaecologist are in the village. 2 pharmacies provide the prescribed medicine.

The new Vulkaneifel trails have been opened. The "Thermen und Maare Pfad" (Thermal and Maare Path) leads past the house in just a few metres!

Beautiful days in the Volcanic Eifel
This holiday flat was a real stroke of luck for us! The furnishings, cleanliness, spaciousness (and, incidentally, the Wi-Fi quality) left nothing to be desired. The house is beautifully and quietly situated; the view from the balcony and the wonderful garden offer relaxation from the first moment. Hikes and walks can be started directly from the house without having to get into the car first. Many thanks to the extremely nice hosts for the beautiful week in the Volcanic Eifel and also for the many tips and information!

A real insider tip - lovingly and well equipped.
We had a great summer holiday week at the Decker family and are very happy that we found this beautiful place, it is a real "hidden gem"! A beautiful apartment furnished with love and attention to detail, with plenty of space and a nice balcony in a very quiet location. Ideal to let your soul dangle and relax. We also spent a lot of time in the garden, where there are several nice seating areas surrounded by blooming flowers and shrubs.
In addition, you can be inspired every day for new activities, because there are several folders with suggestions for all kinds of excursions and hikes sorted by themes. Simply great!

Top holiday apartment, absolutely recommended
This vacation apartment (FeWo I) really offers everything: great facilities, rustic coziness, absolutely quiet location, plenty of space inside and outside, and nice hosts! Large balcony, gigantic garden, private parking and entrance... just a few of the many advantages! We only spent three days here, but we are already planning to come back. An absolute tip for all nature and tranquility lovers!

The flat is super equipped, the landlords are very nice and hospitable. We wanted for nothing. Excursion destinations, whether in nature or cities in the surrounding area, are easy to reach. A plus point in the immediate vicinity is the bathing lake, which can be reached quickly on foot. Highly recommended!
