The private house with its very familiar atmosphere with free WiFi parking and air-condition,
has 4 flats, one for 4 persons (80€) and two flats for 6 persons each (95€) as well as for 6 persons for (110€ ). All 4 units are with: Balcony, or terrace, partial sea view, garden use barbecue available.

History
Vir is first mentioned in historical documents in 1069 in the charter of King Petar Kresimir IV. This document is better known as "Mare nostrum Dalmaticum". In this charter, Vir is named "Ueru" or "Veru". This name leads scholars to assume an ancient Mediterranean origin, as the name means pasture. Today the island has over 7000 holiday homes and in the summer months Vir becomes a holiday resort with many contrasts due to the large number of tourists, hence the name "island of contrasts". These contrasts run through the whole of Vir. Even the landscape shows this characteristic. From barren pastures to lush forests and Mediterranean plants. Vineyards, fields, gardens and uncultivated fields alternate as one looks down into the valley from the mountains, which are over 100 m high. The beaches also show themselves from different sides - sometimes sandy, sometimes stony. In Vir you will find ultra-modern villas with precisely asphalted roads, but the romantic also finds quiet sleepy villages and secluded bays where you can relax from the pulsating life of the cities. The town of Vir is the administrative centre of the whole island, with the aim of promoting the quality of life, not only for the permanent residents, but also for the multitude of guests who come all year round. The average temperature is 20 °C. In July it is about 31 °C and in January the lowest, about 6.5 °C. The climate certainly has an influence on health and longevity. It is not uncommon for residents to live to be over 100 years old. Ten years ago, an old woman died at the age of 101, and only last year, the oldest islander ever died just one month before her 102nd birthday. The shore is adorned with sand and pebble beaches with forests in the background and crystal clear, clean sea.
All this makes the island an ideal family holiday destination. The shore in the northwest of the island, with its flora and fauna, is an ideal place to stay for lovers of water sports. The numerous bays with their moorings and anchorages offer sailors a stopover on their tour to a chain of over 300 islands, among which is the Kornati National Park. The island offers accommodation only in private lodgings, whether in the form of room rentals, flats or even holiday homes. Often, however, they have their own boat moorings. Vir is not yet a place with large hotels. Restaurants and cafes with shady terraces, disco clubs, folklore, various market places, the ambulance, the post office, the tourist office, exchange offices, boat rentals, fruit-vegetable and fish markets, church services every evening make the island's offer so qualitatively valuable and attractive. The "Virians" warmly welcome you all and invite you to spend your holidays on our "island of contrasts".

Holiday with friends. Highly recommended
Very nice hosts, friendly relationship. We felt like at home. Ilona speaks German, Polish and Croatian and is always helpful
Quiet location. Proximity to the beach is a big advantage. In about 2 minutes you can walk to the beach, without any stress, searching for a parking space or the like. There is a bakery and a small shop for daily needs within 5 min walking distance. There is a small beach bar on the beach. The beach is pebbly but the water is very clean. There is a small sandy beach for children about 200m away
The rooms are functional and modern. Everything was clean and functional. We can NOT confirm the bad reviews from earlier. There were four of us (4 adult friends) staying in the A2 and we felt very comfortable.
It is a FeWo. therefore no care or service to expect. Everything is self-catering. But Ilona (hostess) is very helpful and always approachable. You can wash and dry clothes without any problems. Please note: towels and toilet paper are NOT provided. Bed linen is provided.
There are many nice restaurants but only in the centre about 3 km. We did not mind. We even walked once. A holiday without stress. Maybe there is something else nearby, but we didn't find it out. You can also barbecue in the villa. We did this twice with the hosts and other residents of the villa. A very nice evening with music, guitar accompaniment and host Velle as a super cook. Everyone contributed to the expenses, a ferry and great affair
Quiet location. It depends on what you expect. If you are looking for relaxation and tranquillity then you are in the right place...For Haligali I recommend Mallorca. But a party and night out is always possible.
