Description
The comfortable holiday flat has an area of approx. 85 m² and is very suitable for 4 people. By arrangement, up to 6 people can also be accommodated in the flat. The sleeping possibilities are a double room, a twin bed room (two single beds) and a guest room (spring room) with a large, modern sofa bed for 2 people. The guest room with its large panorama window and double-winged patio door is also ideal as a reading or play room, with plenty of literature such as thrillers, novels, fairy tale books for the kids through to interesting cookery books or reference works such as specialist literature, encyclopaedias or atlases.
The modern kitchen is fully equipped and has a fridge-freezer, an oven with a 4-burner ceramic hob, extractor bonnet, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, egg boiler and much more. No crockery or cutlery counted!
The dining and living area is comfortably furnished with an HD flat screen TV, HiFi receiver plus CD player, as well as a usable open fireplace. WLan available!
Large panorama windows offer a wonderful view of the opposite forest slopes of the Wiedtal. The double glass door offers direct access to the large, Mediterranean-style terrace with garden furniture including cushions and upholstery. A large sunshade with a traffic light serves as sun protection.
A (high) barbecue, a kettle barbecue and a table barbecue are also available on request.
The brightly tiled bathroom has a hand basin, a bathtub with shower device, shower curtain and sufficient storage space in wall and floor cupboards. The toilet is separate from the bathroom and can be used separately.
Our liquid gas boiler provides hot water and heat.
This holiday home is a detached house on a slope with two flats, each with separate entrances. The described holiday flat is located in the upper part of the building.

The holiday home is situated in the middle of the Wiedbach valley between Roßbach and Niederbreitbach in an idyllic and quiet hillside location at the edge of the forest in the small Waldbreitbach district of Gasbitze and directly adjacent to the Westerwaldsteig (over 235 km of selected hiking trails lead through deep green forests, green meadows, quiet valleys and breezy heights, through romantic villages past many sights).
This beautiful and peaceful spot can be reached in just under 1 1/2 hours by car from the Ruhr area or from the Frankfurt a. M. area. The forest is right on the doorstep and ideally situated for hiking enthusiasts and mountain bikers. To the centre of Waldbreitbach it is only a 5 min. drive by car (1,5 km). By foot it is only 1 km for which you need about 10-15 minutes

The very good general and dental care in combination with two pharmacies in the village promise optimal medical care
On the banks of the Wied, you can hire rowing boats and/or pedal boats and explore the Wied. In addition to the (annual) fireworks display "Wied in Flammen" (Wied in Flames) in conjunction with the funfair or a visit to the world's largest natural cot exhibition with over 1700 cots, many other interesting events take place throughout the year in the tranquil village of Waldbreitbach.
Whether for an active holiday or simply to relax, from hiking or walking to cycling or mountain biking, fishing, horse riding, tennis, swimming or paragliding, there is something for everyone. The possibility of playing golf is also available in the immediate vicinity (approx. 20 minutes by car).

Great location
This accommodation leaves nothing to be desired.
The great view, the Hecker family, old and young, are just great.
The area is also a jewel and very good gastronomy (including the ice cream parlour and Paganetti's) also highly recommended.
We will definitely be back

Short holiday - weekend
We had a very nice short pre-Christmas weekend in this accommodation. The flat is furnished with a lot of attention to detail, very cosy to feel good, absolutely recommendable. The location is basically beautiful, not walkable alone in the dark in winter.

Best feature, view!
From the village of Waldbreitbach, a fairly narrow and partly steep road leads to the small hamlet of Gasbitz and the holiday home of the Hecker family. Both were very welcoming and gave us a short tour of the holiday home, which is decorated in a homely atmosphere and very clean. It has its own entrance and front door. Large windows in the living room offer a beautiful view of the wooded Wiedtal. There are also French doors leading to a newly renovated, sunny terrace. Waldbreitbach offers extensive shopping opportunities and various restaurants. It's about a 25-minute walk to the village. The Wiedtal is a beautiful and diverse part of the Westerwald, and the Rhine is also easily reachable. Tip: visit the Malberg Hütte for good food and unbeatable views! It was great that our dog was truly welcome.

Traumhafte Herbsttage im Rheinischen Westerwald
Empfangen wurden wir von den Vermietern Marion und Rolf aufs Herzlichste. Diese Stimmung blieb bis zur Abreise. Das war ein toller Beginn unseres sehr angenehmen Urlaubs in Gasbitze/Waldbreitbach.
Die Ferienwohnung allein ist ein Urlaub wert. Große Panoramafenster, die einen grandiosen Blick ins Wiedtal ermöglichen. Bei klarem Wetter sind wunderschöne Sonnenaufgänge zu beobachten. Alle Räume sind schnuckelig und mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Wir hatten z.B. jeden Abend Teelichte in diversen vorhanden Behältnissen angezündet und somit eine wohlige Atmosphäre geschaffen. Auch der Kamin macht Freude. Wir kamen ganz ohne Fernsehen aus. Dass der Westerwald ein Paradies für Wanderer ist, weiß bestimmt jeder, der hier Urlaub machen möchte. Angenehm auch der leise Geschirrspüler und die Vielzahl an Bestecken, Tellern, Gläser und Tassen. Auf dem großen Doppelbett lässt es sich herrlich schlafen, auch wer es etwas in der Bandscheibe hat.
Die umfangreiche Beschreibung des Inserats verspricht nicht zu viel.
Unbedingt erwähnenswert ist der kostenlose WLAN-Empfang.
Wer mit dem Auto anreist, sollte wissen, dass es zum Grundstück etwas steil bergab geht. Bei vorsichtiger und umsichtiger Fahrweise ist es aber gut zu schaffen, auch das Rangieren auf dem Gelände.
Einen Abstecher zum Restaurant "Zur Erholung" bei Familie Paganetti in Verscheid lohnt sich sehr! Am besten bei einer Wanderung den Hochscheider Bach entlang via Bärenkopp.
Und wer hier im Herbst, wie wir, Urlaub plant, darf sich auf ein herrliches Umzugsvergnügen im Nachbarort Roßbach freuen. Bei der Roßbacher Kirmes zieht bei anbrechender Dunkelheit ein Umzug von Fackelträgern, begleitet von zwei Spielmannszügen vorn und am Ende, durch den Ort. Immer dort, wo er lang marschiert, werden Raketen und Böller gezündet. Ein wunderschönes Erlebnis!

Mitten in der Natur ...
...liegt die liebevoll eingerichte, saubere und super ausgestattete Ferienwohnung. Wir 3 wurden herzlich von Familie Hecker begrüßt.
Man kann direkt ab Haustür los wandern ...und auch bis zum Zentrum von Waldbreitbach sind es nur ein paar Minuten. Dort findet man alles zum Einkaufen und zum "Schlemmen".
Famillie Hecker steht mit Tipps für Wandertouren, Ausflügen und gutem Essen gerne zur Verfügung und hat auch so immer ein offenes Ohr.
Empfehlen möchten wir hier den Lesern:
Nassen's Mühle ... für sehr gutes Essen
Pannhausen Cafe ... für Kuchen & Torte
Den Punkt Service können wir nicht wirklich bewerten, da es sich ja um Selbstverpflegung handelt. Wir möchten aber erwähnen, dass wir die Handtücher mit gebucht hatten ...und uns diese mehr wie genug zur Verfügung gestellt worden sind!
Ebenso sind Kuscheldecken ausreichtend vorhanden, sodass man es sich abends vorm Kamin wirklich kuschelig machen kann.
Auch hier möchten wir uns für die wirklich erholsame Auszeit bei Familie Hecker bedanken ...und nun wird zügig die Urlaubsplanung für 2015 gemacht, damit wir uns Gasbitze nochmal in"grün" ... ohne Eis und Schnee ... ansehen und die Wanderwege voll nutzen!

Erholungsurlaub mal anders
Idyllisch gelegenes Ferienhaus mit guter Ausstattung. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man für einen Kurzurlaub benötigt.
Wanderwege führen direkt am Haus vorbei und laden zu Touren in der Natur ein.
Im Ort gibt es genügend Möglichkeiten zum Einkauf, so dass man nicht immer mit dem Auto fahren muss.
Leider wird das ansonsten gute Bild ein wenig getrübt, da die Sauberkeit des Hauses nicht dem entspricht was man erwarten kann und auch bezahlt hat. Schade.

Vicinity of the holiday home: Das Haus liegt an einem Hang direkt am Wald, der Ort ist ca. 10 Fußminuten entfernt.
free time activities: Wanderungen können direkt vom Haus aus beginnen, für Kinder ist der nächste Zoo circa eine halbe Stunde, der nächste Tierpark circa eine Stunde entfernt. Schwimmbad im nächsten Ort. Sehenswert ist auch ein Ausflug an den Rhein (ca. 30 min.)
shopping facilities: Im Ort ist alles für den täglichen Gebrauch vorhanden. Schlecker, Norma und Rewe sind ansässig, eine gute Eisdiele und weitere Gastronomien sind vorhanden.

Fünf Sterne
Liebe Familie Hecker,
die Wohnung war von der Wohn-Einrichtung, Küchen-Ausstattung sowie in puncto Sauberkeit super und uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Daher von unserer Seite fünf Sterne und gerne noch ein "PLUS" dazu für die nützlichen Tipps zu den Wanderungen und den Lokalitäten im Ort von Ihnen. Der Ausblick von der Terrasse, bzw. Wohnzimmer sucht seinesgleichen! An kälteren Tagen kann man es sich bei einem Kaminfeuer so richtig gemütlich machen. Fazit: Entspannung pur!Service kann ich leider nicht angeben, da Selbstverpflegung, obwohl wir von den Eigentümern, an einem lauschigen Sommerabend, tatsächlich ein leckeres schmackhaftes Süppchen serviert bekommen haben. Alles in Allem war es ein "Rund-um-Wohlfühl-Paket" Wir waren mit Sicherheit mit unserem Hund nicht das letzte Mal dort um zu relaxen.

Traumhaft schöner Familienurlaub in der Natur
Eine traumhaft schöne Woche ist wieder einmal viel zu schnell vorübergegangen. Gerne wären wir noch ein paar Tage geblieben. Aber auch diesmal haben wir die Ruhe, die Natur und vor allem das schöne Wetter genießen können.

Vicinity of the holiday home: Wunderschöne Umgebung mit Blick auf die Berge, Wälder und Wiesen. Wohin man auch schaut, man sieht nur grün und Idylle!
free time activities: Es ist alles vorhanden was man für einen schönen Urlaub benötigt. Schwimm- und Freibad, Tennisplätze, unglaublich schöne Wander- und Mountainbikerouten direkt vom Haus aus.
shopping facilities: Auch hier ist alles vorhanden was das Herz begehrt. REWE, Edeka, Schlecker, ein paar kleine Boutiquen. Sehenswert sind aber auch besonders die Städte Bad Hönningen und Neuwied.

Erholsamer Kurzurlaub
Sehr kurzfristig haben wir ein sehr erholsames Wochenende auf der Gasbitze verbracht. Das Haus hat eine Lage, die kaum besser sein kann. Hier findet man die Ruhe, die man benötigt, um von einer stressigen Woche abzuschalten. Eine idyllische Landschaft wie im Bilderbuch, direkt am Wald gelegen und doch in ca. 10 Gehminuten im Ortskern Waldbreitbach wo man alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten vorfindet. Das Haus ist perfekt eingerichtet, alles ist sehr ordentlich und die Sauberkeit läßt nichts zu wünschen übrig. Das Highlight war dann für uns aber der offene Kamin, den wir an beiden Tagen benutzten. Traumhaft!!! Wir haben den nächsten Urlaub bereits reserviert! Der fällt dann aber wesentlich länger aus. Vielen Dank für alles!!!

In Oberhausen, the cradle of the Ruhr industry, in Sterkrade to be precise, I, Marion Hecker, ran my own hairdressing business as a master hairdresser for almost 50 years and handed it over to my son, master hairdresser Kai Hecker, in 2014 when he reached retirement age. He now leads the 4. He now runs the old-established hairdressing business in a modern style Until then, we, my husband Rolf and I, looked after, maintained and managed the salon ourselves on weekdays from Oberhausen and on weekends at the location. When we handed over the salon to our son, we gave up our residence in Oberhausen-Sterkrade and have been citizens of Waldbreitbach-Gasbitze ever since. We have been at home here for over 45 years, feel comfortable, enjoy the peace and quiet and the nature that surrounds us And these are exactly the qualities we would like to convey to our guests in our holiday flat.
