Description
You will stay in a small, cosy holiday home (non-smoking) in a separate building on a well-kept private property. Parking is available on the property. In the lower part of the house there is a fully equipped kitchen (sink, cooker, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator with freezer, kettle, coffee maker, toaster and with all necessary kitchen utensils, as well as a high chair for children is available if needed) and the bathroom with shower, toilet and washing machine. A toddler equipment is available. An interior staircase leads upstairs to the open-plan living area and the enclosed bedroom behind it. There are 4 sleeping possibilities in the bedroom. In the garden there is a seating and barbecue area with a beautiful view of the countryside. Babow (pop. approx. 256) is located in the municipality of Kolkwitz. The nearest larger town is Cottbus (15km). The Spreewald town of Burg (6km) can be reached within a few minutes. The nearest motorway exit is about 4 km away in Vetschau. The well-kept village of Babow belongs to the municipality of Kolkwitz. Your holiday home is located in a green area on the outskirts of the village. From here you can reach the Spreewald town of Burg by bike or car within a few minutes. By car or motorbike, Babow is an ideal starting point for exploring the surrounding area. You can also reach the cultural cities of Dresden and Berlin within an hour. In the spa town of Burg, 6 km away, you will find the Spreewald Therme. You can explore the Spreewald by bike via a well-developed cycling network, by boat or by canoe. In nearby Vetschau (4 km) there is a well-maintained open-air swimming pool and in Cottbus (15 km) the "Lagune" leisure pool, newly opened in 2007, the UCI cinema, the zoo, the famous Branitz Park, Europe's only art nouveau theatre and various other cultural and leisure facilities. Tropical Islands is about 40 km away from us and the indoor ski slope SnowTropolis in Senftenberg or the Eurospeedway Lausitzring can be reached in about 1 hour by car.
