Description

Good atmosphere, restful living, attractive rooms - The house offers accommodation and holiday feeling in three differently designed holiday flats. Our aim is to give you a home for a few days in one of the most beautiful regions of Germany, where you can enjoy this time and not miss anything in terms of amenities.

The house is a large detached building in Klausdorf. In the days of the narrow-gauge railway, the large house served as accommodation for railway employees. It was lovingly renovated between 2006 and 2010.

It has its own cellar and the spacious garden is a wonderful place to sit, sunbathe, play and barbecue. Each holiday home has a storage area in an outbuilding where you can find seating and a barbecue and store your ferry bikes or swimming equipment.

A washing machine and dryer are located in the utility room on the ground floor.

A cot and a high chair are available free of charge.

5 rooms - 5 styles. Kitchen, dining room and 3 bedrooms for up to 6 people with a spacious bathroom - and each room with its own flair, an individual touch.
The first floor offers 3 individually furnished bedrooms for 6 people on approx. 90m². One room has a double bed (180x200), one has two single beds put together as a double bed (90x200 each) and the third bedroom has two single beds (90x200), which can also be put together. In the kitchen, which is equipped with modern appliances, including a fridge-freezer, oven, 4-plate cooker and large dining table, there is space for the whole family or for guests in the adjoining living room. A very nice bathroom is equipped with a large shower, washbasin and WC.
Internet WLAN is available.

Location and surroundings of object

The comfortable and cosy house is located just 800 metres from the Bodden beach.

Thanks to its unique location in the protected landscape area of the German Bodden landscape opposite Rügen, this holiday region offers a varied recreational and leisure environment. The immediate vicinity of the historic city of Stralsund, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002 with its historic old town, and many picturesque villages open up a wide range of cultural pleasures, be it architecture, landscape, but also theatre, music and painting.

Enjoy your holiday - with family, as a couple, with friends or relatives, but in separate flats, for quiet study with a study room, for workshops for the small group and creative teams with respective retreat areas.

Plenty of water surrounds our holiday flats - 9 km from Stralsund - centrally located in the Stralsund Bodden landscape. You can reach Germany's largest island (Rügen) from our house in about 15 minutes by car. The Baltic seaside resort of Zingst is also only about 25 minutes away by car. Well-developed cycling and hiking trails enable you to experience the natural beauty of the "Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft" National Park. Tens of thousands of cranes rest in the region in spring and autumn - an unforgettable natural spectacle.

The nearest bathing possibilities are at the local Bodden meadow (800m) and at the beach in Barhöft (2.5 km).

The small harbour of Barhöft is only a stone's throw away from Klausdorf. The former pilot harbour was converted into a marina after reunification. In summer, itinerant sailors from all over the world moor here. Customs and the Boddenwacht also have a base here. A small sandy beach invites you to swim. From the lookout tower above the harbour, the view extends into the heart of the national park between the islands of Borg, Hiddensee, Rügen and the Bodden shore of the mainland. And in the evening, when the fishermen land their catch, you can buy fresh Baltic fish directly from the cutter.

Once you've done it once, you'll never let go - Bodden fishing in the fish-rich waters around Klausdorf is an unparalleled experience. Where else in Germany can you watch white-tailed eagles, flocks of cranes and wild geese and - by the way - catch big fish or land countless herring from the Rügen dam in April and October with many other anglers?

From meerkats to giraffes - animals of all sizes and widths can be found in Stralsund Zoo. From the rough-wool Pomeranian Land sheep to the Hungarian woolly pig and the Caucasian dwarf zebu cattle, around 1000 animals face the curious gaze of visitors. Easy to find in the centre of Stralsund.

The German Oceanographic Museum in Stralsund is the largest natural history museum in northern Germany. It is housed in an early Gothic monastery church. That alone is worth seeing. Its permanent and temporary exhibitions present the sea as a habitat for flora and fauna, but also as an economic area and a subject of human research. If you like, you can also learn a lot about the GDR's fishing history. It was complemented by the new building of the Ozeanum - one of the most beautiful aquarium landscapes in Europe.

The Bodden coastal town of Barth attracts day trippers not only because of its gigantic brick cathedral. In the cosy old town, cafés and squares invite you to linger. The brand-new marina makes sailors' hearts beat faster. And Barth is the ideal starting point for an idyllic boat trip to the Darß.

The best way to explore the area is by bike.

The landscape, fauna and flora of the Vorpommern coastal region are unique. There is much to see and even more to do. From "A" like fishing or excursions to "Z" like migratory birds, Klausdorf has just about everything to offer that is fun.
