As well as the caravan, you'll be renting a fully equipped country cabin with all modern facilities for a unique holiday experience.The caravan was built in 1924 by Wood Bros (the best 'vardo' or gypsy waggon builders) and has been restored in 2004 to provide a traditional interior with double bed, seating and cupboards. Although it is roadworthy, it is only let static. Just up some steps from the caravan sits a small newly built cabin offering a high standard of facilities. You have exclusive use of the field which has the lovely Afon Ceri (River Ceri) running along its length. This clean, shallow river is a Site of Special Scientific interest, protected because of the otters, brown trout, and its wild flowers. A very peaceful location.

The caravan is located near the village of Rhydlewis, just 4.5 miles inland from the best beaches in the county. You can take country walks from the doorstep, easily be on the beach in under 15 minutes or walk to the village shop and trout/cheese smokery within a few hundred yards.

The seaside village of Llangrannog lies on the coast of Ceredigion, in a narrow valley which the river Hawen makes its rapid way into Cardigan Bay. Another small stream, Nant Eisteddfa flows into the sea, but is mostly hidden and emerges as an outfall near the boat ramp.In the lower part, the valley is so steep as to form a virtual ravine, the river Hawen falling at one point as a waterfall.The village is spread along the valley, the older settlement, including the church, being above the waterfall, hidden from view of the sea .The lower or Beach village was built in later, safer years and for many years was a small flourishing commercial port."The above is an extract from "The Story of Llangrannog", by Mervyn Davies, published by E.L. It also has a general store, Glynafon and at the top of the village, near the church, is the Post Office.
