Our estate of 6000 sqm. is located near Waiohinu, Big Island of Hawai'i. Papayas, bananas, macadamia nuts, oranges, lemons, figs, pineapples, avocadoes, coffee, lettuce, and vegetables grow here organically. If you seek to experience Hawai'i on an individual note, away from tourist crowds and the trodden paths, then this is the right point of departure for your tours of the island.

Mark Twain was so enchanted by Waiohinu, that he planted a monkeypodtree during his visit in 1866. It's offshoot has grown into a majestic tree. Ka Lae (15min. away) is the southernmost point of all the Hawaiian Islands, and probably the place where the first Polynesians came ashore. Watch the most beautiful sunrises, as well as breathtaking sunsets. The southern coast is the last undeveloped coast of Hawaii. You can observe how Hawaiians catch their fish daily, or spend the weekend here with the whole family. Enjoy unique beaches, such as Papakolea and Punalu'u (where big seaturtles can be seen resting in the sun), with black, green, or white sand, at times even in complete solitude, for swimming, diving, whale, dolphin, or bird watching. Even the Hawaiian seal is sometimes to be seen. If you enjoy hiking, go on a daytrip directly from your cottage through natural surroundings to totaly secluded bays. On the weekends we sometimes encounter windsurfers and fishermen, on weekdays you will mostly be all by yourself. Volcano National Park is 40 min. away and offers you the opportunity for a firsthand look at an active volcano in a lava-shaped landscape, where Pele, the goddess of fire, resides and witness her power. Visit Wood Valley Temple (half way) on the way to the park and experience a Buddhist temple, where the Dalai Lama has stayed and lectured on several occasions.
